Just as the title notes–I am trying to figure out the model and year of this Waterford. It is very large, and I know or think the following (plus the photos):
- The serial stamped on the bottom bracket is A00062.
- It appears to be a Reynolds 853 frame with cantilever brakes.
- Also has rack and fender mounts, room for wider tires, and a fork with an unused center-mounted brake hole.
- Just above that hole, the fork crown has “Henry” engraved, which I assume indicates the crown supplier?
- The current component set is Shimano 105, with a triple crank–no idea if they are original
- Someone in the know said they think "it is an RST, or something"
- It is quite large–seller thinks at least 63cm? I am 6'6, and this is important to me.

It’s a touring model but that’s the best I can do. You might find the year encoded in the serial number…
Waterford bike serial numbers are stamped on the frame, typically on the non-drive side dropout (near the rear wheel axle). The format varies by year, but for bikes made after mid-1995, a common format is a letter for the month followed by numbers for the year and then the sequential build number, like F98123, which would indicate a bike made in June 1998.
I’m 6’5, and I’d roll the dice on it if the price was right. Older geometry had shorter top tubes, but it would be a comfortable upright ride with the correct stem.
Touring model of some sort, as was noted previously. Look for seized stem and seatpost when you check it out.
Henry stand means it used Henry James lugs. Which are/were some of the best lugs you can get. I used them on a couple of projects back in the day and they were very nice.
I’d venture that this is a custom frame from Waterford. For a while they were mostly doing custom work ordered through local shops.
