I guess it’s somewhat of a relief it’s not just my 16-year-old and his friends and that all of you idiots are doing this. At least have decent ratios to spread the pattern if your dad is buying your tires and tubes. 😉

that’s about the time to replace them for me. Maybe a bit earlier if you are planning on going far away and don’t want to risk a flat.

It’s a personal decision, but I ride mine past this point. Worst case scenario, it pops and you’re stranded somewhere in need of a tire and a tube. I just wouldn’t do any super long rides out in the country.

That’s about 1 skid away from a flat. I run them till I see those chords
I usually change my tires when they square out and start to see the bottom layers.
I mean should you change it? Probably. Would I go until the tire is bulging and about to explode? Absolutely. But I’m not very smart.
