Hi! I'm completely new to the cycling world and have never been on a road bike before. I've been eyeing this used Fuji gran fondo 1.3 50cm bike on Facebook marketplace, and I'd appreciate some advice/second opinions from people who are experienced and more knowledge than me. I'm 5'3 (and short legged if that matters). Seems like an endurance bike, which would be most suitable for me based on my research (but lmk if I'm mistaken). Anything else I should check/ask/look for? Thanks so much, really appreciate it!

Go test ride it. When you’re standing over the top tube, if it’s up against your crotch, it’s too big. You want that top tube right below the taint, like 2in below. Otherwise this bike has good components and should last you a long time. Not a terrible price. Be weary of used carbon, there could be unseen cracks.
It’s about right, but you need to try it to be sure. 50 is probably the largest size you should be looking at, so this will either feel right or it might feel a bit big.
I’m the same height as my friend, but all my bikes are one size larger than his. I can ride his hybrid as well as his road bike, but they feel cramped and he feels stretched out on my hybrid and road bike.
That’s a great bike to start road riding with. Its an endurance style bike and it seems to be in your size. think its a 2018 model, and still has the old style rim brakes.

As long as its mechanically sound it should be a solid option. It will be plenty fast but still comfortable enough for a novice to progress to a more advanced rider. You’ll have no issue doing 100km rides on this bike.
Check to make sure the gears shift smoothly, the frame has no visible damage (mild scratches are ok, but no cracks or dents), the brakes work well. Any work at a bike shop is expensive so you want to avoid it unless you know how to do it yourself.
Check the tires. If they are worn negotiate down. Tires are consumable and a common upgrade. A good pair of tires and tubes will cost about $120.
Chain wear is hard to check for without a measuring tool. A new 11-speed chain is about $50.

Depending on the market I think I’d offer $475 or $500 max.
