I’ve recently started learning how to build and truing wheels, and I’m still very new to it.
I’ve been using zip ties as many people recommend, but now I’d like to invest in a proper truing stand.
I found this one on the local market for 100€.
It looks quite old, and I’m not even sure if it’s usable, which is why I’d appreciate your opinions.
Is it worth anything—should I make an offer at all, or skip it?
Will it work with different types of hubs (ex. thru axle), and is it good enough for learning (not for professional use)?
Currently I need it for 26 and 27.5 inch wheels but maybe in future also for 29 and have no idea if it’s supported by this stand.
It also looks like it could potentially damage a wheel if it’s not centered properly as it seems to be missing some rubber or plastic end caps?
I couldn’t find any information about it, and the seller didn’t know much either.
