It was a blast. Had never done anything on real trails before, always just commuted and done a little gentle off roading on gravel. Definitely could have used some bigger tires lol but I got this bike from marketplace for a good deal a week ago and wanted to break it in. Still not sure what I want to do with this bad boy, open to suggestions/ideas!
(Don’t worry guys I still have a 87 schwinn mirada that I’m putting bigass tires on and just found klunker style handlebars for in my LBS $5 bin)

Damn that thing is sweet
This is exactly how I got started mountain biking: One day I was coming down the canyon road on my Bianchi Volpe and I decided to take the trail that paralleled the road.
I have a 2014 Volpe it came full road components, dropbar and all, and I have to say that little piece of steel keeps making me happy every time I take it to a trail 😁
she is so sexy

The Volpe is one of the OG do anything frames from the 80s. The fact that Bianchi kept it going for so long through this and that trend is a vote of confidence that they’ve got some sensible people working there.
