I recieved this frame in exchange for doing some work a while ago. Unfortunately it’s a bit small for me, but it should fit my roommate well so I decided to put it together for him as some sort of Christmas gift.
It has Columbus tubing and campagnolo dropouts. not certain but I’m inclined to believe the fork is original due to the matching dropouts.
I was mainly interested because the front down tube clearances are pretty wild. this is a 23mm conti ultra sport. it looks like the fork could maybe clear a 32 but I doubt the frame would clear anything past a 28mm. 4th pic shows it’s definitely rubbed before lol.
The asymmetrical seat stays are also interesting, in pictures 3,5&6 you can see the NON drive side seat stay is considerably beefier than the drive side. I’ve never seen this and would appreciate any input/information on why a frame builder would make that design choice.
Build list is as follows:
Frame/fork: cesare
Cockpit: jaguar 100/b123/ strong V
Seat/post: sugino mighty/ turbo
Crankset/bottom bracket: starfish/campy pista bb (only thing I didn’t have laying around and wow this SUCKED to find in Italian thread)
Drivetrain:sugino mighty competition/ surly cog 46×21 spinning is winning.
Pedals: mks gr9/mks L single cages/ Christophe straps (not my first choice but what I have to spare)
Wheels: rear suzue to ma2, I have the matching front but enve is cooler lmao.
headset: hatta NJS
Hopefully he thinks it’s as cool as I do haha.
Thank you for reading, comments questions concerns roasts appreciated.
