Heyo! I’m planning a last-minute solo bikepacking trip and found incredibly cheap flights to Bogota— I’m interested in a route called Ruta Chingaza, but it’s currently “under development” on Bikepacking.com and the last update implied things might be solidified in 2023 with no further news.
Has anyone (besides Lael Wilcox lol) ridden or attempted the Ruta Chingaza? Other route suggestions leaving from Bogota? I have two weeks total, any type of bike, and significant experience solo bikepacking. I’m looking for something doable in around one week for a mere mortal with solid quads, ideally with small towns and mountain landscapes thrown in the mix.
I’d love any info on your Ruta Chingaza experience or other suggestions from folks who have spent time riding in Colombia. Thanks in advance!
