Had this bike sitting in my garage for about 8 years and I decided it was time to get back on the saddle to keep my joints moving.
Rode it around for a few days before completely tearing it apart and sending the frame and cranks off to powder coat and ordering all new parts for the rest of it.
I’m too old to throw myself around on this bike so despite it looking like a fgfs bike I actually ride this bike 100 miles a week with a 28:10 gear ratio lol. I’m decently fast for what this gear ratio allows me to do but I spin out trying to keep up with track bike guys 🥲
If you’re wondering why I stuck with 26’s, I always hated fearing for a flat when I rode a 700c bike back in the day so I went with what I was comfortable with which is an fgfs build.
I plan to build a big tire and bigger gear ratio 700c bike in the future so I can keep up with the big dogs!
