
Long story short, got this Brompton at killer price, it's basically new as it was probably never really used.
However it's been in a garage for gods know how long…. so after doing 20km the front inner tube popped.
Got new ones (swalbe AV4) and swapped them out thanks to some YouTube tutorials, then got on the bike and was happy…
Until I reached home, folded the bike and noticed that this thingy (see orange circle in picture) is not attaching to the tube it used to…
I don't understand how I assembled it wrong, since I put everything back in the same order so I'm a bit lost :/
Any thoughts?

More pictures would help to help. Unfold the bike and take pictures from the axel that show how you mounted the hook.
If you’re talking about the little hook thing that latches onto the other side, just lift the bike a little bit allowing the back wheel to drop a little and then come back up inside the hook. It’s possible the old wheels were depressurized and had given you more clearance.
Could be just the photo but is the hook the wrong way round?
