The old 95(?) gt ricochet is finally completed after a little break from work over thanksgiving and actually getting some time to work on it. Sooo the list of what I’ve done:

Rebuilt wheel hubs, fresh bearings and grease throughout, fresh bottom bracket, new cables and housings, new tires, new stem and bars ( I will be changing these to low rise bmx style bars once they come in the mail,) new grips, rebuilt shifters, rebuilt derailleurs (new gears and bushings,) trued the wheels, disassembled all drivetrain components and thoroughly cleaned and reassembled with anti-seize.

Not sold on this old rockshox quadra 21 fork. Seems to work somewhat fine but would like to update to either a nicer/newer fully rigid or small travel similar to the original. (Any ideas welcome please and keep in mind this is a budget build nothing expensive please.)

What are the chances that I threw the rear derailleur on and ran the cable and had to make ABSOLUTELY no adjustment whatsoever and it was shifting flawlessly instantly? Sounds like a sign from the xbiking gods that this bike is was deserving of a second life.

I love these old bikes so much y’all.

(Bonus shot of the old 85 diamondback up next for a makeover)
