This may seem like a dumb question, but is this the correct orientation for these grips? Just FYI, they are not pushed all the way on. Don't want to need to remove them if they are wrong
Nope, got them backwards, the palm swell is supposed to face you. Switch sides.

The flat extension is for resting the palm of your hand. So, as others have commented…move the left grip to the right, with the ridges on the gray section facing forward. and repeat for the opposite side.

Take the bars off, flip them 180, then spin your brakes around and you should be good to go
