I literally just bought it and while trying to lead it into my car in the folded state, it lost its balance and fell, and now the Y bar has this scratch. I am absolutely distraught. Is this bad and any quick fix to it?
Your bike will have many scratchs over the years, get used to it. It makes it more and more beautiful. You can add black tape to cover it if you want.

You can buy touch up paint.
Probably want to cover that area with black or clear helicopter tape anyway if you think you’ll ding it up a lot.

Mount a water bottle there, problem solved.

Touch up paint and then frame protection in high wear areas.

It doesn’t look too bad. Polish up the zone with car polish… most of the scratches will disappear…. (… “buff out.”)

A leather frame protector might cover that and will look nice.

Brommies, unlike a lot of bikes hanging from garage ceilings, are meant to be ridden, packed, unpacked, and ridden some more. If you want to make it up to your Brommie, ride often, that’s what they want. You’ll both have some scratches and that’s a minor trade for the adventures and improvements in health you’ll have.

trying to touch it uo often looks worse to me than leaving the scuffs

I got my Brompton in the same color, and damn, the main tube was chipped within the first week. I couldn’t even recall where or how it happened. Sucks, but you’ll get over it
