This a comparison of a Lake CX239 regular, Shimano S-Phyre 903 wide and DMT SH10. My bikefitter chose them for me to try after measuringmy feet. I guess it will be the Lake or the Shimano, as I could not fit even my foot in the DMT, no chance at all. This sock-like entrance is so narrow I wonder who would ever fit comfortabely in this things.
Lengthwise both the Lake and Shimano are snug but comfortable. Overall feel I'm not shure yet, both are superb.
Lookwise the Lake is like a submarine compared to the other two but extemely comfortable with the leather feel and so on.
To call the Shimano wide is missleading, but it fits suprisingly well but way tighter than the Lakes. I also have a pair of regular 44, too narrow for me.

I will tell you to take the out of the box DMTs with a grain of salt. I have a pair of the KR1s and it took a while to be able to just put them on normally. They stretch and are super comfortable. But I get not wanting to wait and hope they stretch correctly for your feet. Mine also came with a shoe horn that helped.
Jesus those DMTs…I can’t imagine using a shoe that narrow anymore.
I have medium-wide feet and the Fizik Infiniti works well.
Lake are fugly af. No black…. So. Decision made. No need to thank me.
Can recommend the S-Phyre!
Pretty expensive but also a super good shoe. I am wearing the gravel variant, also for roadracing.
Fit > Looks.
Buy the best fitting shoe, not the best looking
Whichever ones fit the best.
For me only Shimano
Shimano.
Lake anytime. Wide fit works as well.
