  1. So after years of showing cropped jeans paired with ankle boots with a bit of skin showing, it's now unfashionable, got it.
    The higher shaft, light colored boot with the jeans are a "don't" for me. I'd pick a dark colored boot with a similar tone of the jeans you're wearing, not a contrasting one. Also, that pleated skirt isn't a midi length, is it? You could simply wear the pleated skirt with the lower shaft suede boot with black tights instead of the pair of bulky knee high boots. I'd just make sure the ankle boot shaft is fitted and not too loose that you notice the opening/gap of the boot, but if you do, wear a dark colored loooong sock inside of the boot to cover your skin.
