I have started getting into triathlon training but don’t know much about bikes. I’ve done a little research but I found this road bike in my area. It’s the trek 1500 slr tdf. I am wondering if this will work or if I will just run into problems with it. Priced at $475

  1. How old is this? Sounds expensive to me without looking into details.

    I would go for a few CAD more and try to get something a bit more recent. Triathlon does not need disc brakes but I would still always try to get hydraulic disks, especially as a beginner in cycling as it provides you with more control in breaking.
