  1. I’ve encountered people walking on bike paths, mainly because there’s no separation between foot paths and bike paths and because the bike path was only a very slightly different color.

The second guy….. no, I haven’t really encountered anything like that. Mainly because there IS separation between the road and pedestrians/bikes.

  2. Lol I’d just continue, grab his hat and throw it away a good few meters down the road (in sight).

Living in a city, I’ve actually done it a couple times. No harm caused but message is conveyed, and also now I’m laughing at the idiot instead of getting angry.

Is that a two-way bike path on a one -way street? It appears the pedestrians are only expecting traffic coming from the direction you are going to.

  4. I mean, its annoying yeah but I prefer to show them the same courtesy I expect from drivers towards us (in an ideal world) and pass them or stop and wait in a safe manner.

  5. Sarajevo in summer is so beautiful you def should go there. One of the best cities I’ve been to

  6. In the US in a big city, all the time. Now add in 100 double parked food/taxi app drivers to serve the lazy assholes of the world

A classic joke I’ve heard in the US:

Q: What’s the difference between a bike lane and a bike path?

A: You park your car in the bike lane, and you walk your dog on the bike path.

All kinds of bike lane obstructions in the US are common, even in cycling friendly areas.

  8. I also see OP riding through pedestrian crossing when people are waiting to cross…that’s a big no-no.

  9. No, we didn’t have some blue lanes and riding on them on wrong side.
While pedestrians have right of way 🙂

I’m British and I’ve had people just step out into the bike lane on the city road without looking several times. One of them had the audacity to look shocked when I yelled because he stepped out FROM BETWEEN TWO PARKED CARS literally a few feet in front of me and while I’d say I have a fast reaction time precisely because of idiots like that, braking so harshly at speed sent my back wheel up. Or I hate it when they literally LOOK at you coming and still decide to step into the bike lane despite the fact that it’s obvious you’re there 🫠

Obliviousness or just a straight up idiotic lack of self-preservation and situational awareness seems to be universal, unfortunately.
