I’m extremely disappointed and ashamed to admit this but when I woke up, my back was still killing me. I’ve gotta take a day or two to recover. It seems more preferable to take 2 days off than to be forced to take a month off when I push myself too far. I also promised my wife that if I woke up in pain still that I’d stay off my bike. I do have a plan to prepare me for when I’m back though!

Today’s agenda:
Ice bath (I’m terrified, I’ve never done that)
Review clips
Heating pad
Spend time with family (of course!!!)
Maybe paint a decal on my bike with nail polish

I’ve also included a clip from u/HugeTampons stitched together with my best bunny hop to fine tune what I can do better.

The #1 thing I noticed is that all of my weight is still in the middle of the bike when I hop, and a proper bunny hop has all the weight over the back tire when they hop. I feel like maybe that’s why I’m struggling to get that front tire up. I gotta LEAN BACK. I also think I gotta straighten my neck and my back up a little more.
