In spring it will be time for new tires for my hard tail. What would be the sweet spot of grip and speed on trails that are either mostly dry, very little mud/leaves or lots of wet rocks/roots? (See pictures) I guess in many reviews mud is taken into the equation but it’s rarely a problem here since the pine trees and moss absorb most of it.
My bike got delivered with Vittoria peyote, which are nice and fast but not so reliable on wet rock/roots. (At least not with my technique). How about maxxis dhf + aggressor? I see lots of praise of vittoria barzo as well. And all those different alternatives from scwhalbe…

Maxxis Assegai + DHR II
Not sure where you are at specifically, but I’ve had good luck with Vittoria Mazza up front with Martello and Agarro in the back or Scwalbe Magic Mary on front and Hans Dampf on rear.
I’ve ridden these combos in central Sweden and all over the rooty and rocky northeast of the USA, and they have been very robust, dependable and solid.
I’m riding specialized butcher and purgatory on exactly same terrain and it is 10/10 👌🏼
