Hi everyone I’m new into mtb and I’m looking to buying my first full suspension but budget is a little tight so I’m just looking into used ones for now. Any tips or recommendations what I would need to look for when looking into used bikes like these?

No, maybe $250 tops
No not at all
This one is definitely not worth $450. $250 at absolute best. Wouldn’t be a bad bike to start on, but at that price do not buy it.
I think $450 is a little steep considering how outdated the geometry is. Id look for something newer personally. I think $350 would be more fair. Cant even see the drivetrain. Also I dont think its S Works just regular Specialized
I would look into a used hard tail if you are trying to jump into the sport . A full suspension this old is going to give you so much more trouble
That dude hit the pipe before posting that.
Most bang for your buck, I’d look at hardtails, especially with just starting out.
I’m sure you could score a decently priced Trek Marlin or Roscoe (better components/geo than Marlin). I am sure people will mention other brands, but I have been happy with my Marlin then upgraded to Roscoe.
That thing is over 2 decades old. I wouldn’t go near it tbh, spares will be non existent, the shock and fork are ancient and potentially hard/impossible to service, the geometry is very old school, it’s not a good bike anymore.
1. This is not an s-works, ifs a stumpumper expert. 2. No it’s not worth $450
