Today we were too tired to bike uphill, so we decided to hitchhike, but we weren’t sure if somebody will stop for us and our bikes. Day five of our bike packing tour in Croatia started with a steep hill. We covered around 300 m elevation in 4 km. I’m hitting this with every bone in my body. After that, we enjoyed the 11 km downhill ride until we reached the city of Kalabak. We decided to hitchhike up the next mountain because it would have been 20 km straight uphill. Therefore, we found a good spot where we could stop cars. Meanwhile, we enjoyed our lunch. Unfortunately, it wasn’t easy to find a car that could transport the both of us and our bikes. But in the end, it worked out. And these nice guys took us all the way up to Vizvanuza. There we found a camping, pitched our tent, and worked for a bit before dinner. Some other campers actually brought a beamer, so we sat together for a while before going to bed. Florida, I’m freezing. It’s too cold for me.
