





Snagged it for pretty cheap on facebook, around 40 bucks. The rims look rusted but I've had no trouble riding it around so far and it seems pretty smooth. I checked the serial number online and it was made in Chicago around the 1980's if it's accurate, which is cool.

Good deal. Schwinn has a terrible reputation today but occasionally had moments of making decent bikes, and this is a decent one. Nothing fancy but def worth $40
The rims aren’t rusted, they’re aluminum.
It’s a great bike. My friend had one of these and he really beat it and it held up to all his abuse.
Should be full chrome under the paint. If it’s ever gets too scratched up, strip the paint.
Yeah, that actually would have been a pretty sick mountain bike back in the late 80’s. It was pretty high up in Schwinn’s MTB lineup, just below the Cimarron.
Owned one for awhile before someone stole it. It was a good ride. The Chicago plant made good bikes.
