Forecast not great, so started with a coffee in our local pub. Voie des Salines is beautiful in the beginning. Last 10 km is straight road through the forest, that and the rain made us bail early. Return journey flattish.

Plan for today is to follow the va de saline which we did be it slightly amended. The va de salin is a converted rail track between the towns of saline le ashaw. The last 10 km of the route is through a forest. Uh it started raining so we uh diverted. All in all it was a flat route today. 510 m over 73 km. This map shows in blue the route which we’re going to do today and in magenta the routes that we’ve done in this area. As the weather looked a bit humid, we decided to have a coffee first in the local bar. So, basically follow this sign. This is all converted rail tracks. Nice and smooth. Fuse today are a bit less due to some low hanging clouds. The route is quite adequately marked in both directions. The location of this nice fly over is just before San Le So this is the end or the beginning if you wish uh of the route in Salem Lebanon. The river on the right is La Lui and the town is Port Lesni. On the map, we are now here. Now arrived in the little village of Champu Lu and the folks out here have an excellent sense of humor. It translates as evidence of global warming. Here we are crossing the river La. We were having coffee next to a very artistic blacksmith. The house in the background is the gate house of the arc which is a UNESCO world heritage site. and a uh location on the map. It’s the first part of the 10 km stretch going north through the forest. It’s a straight road. Cycling through a forest for 10 km is not my cup of tea. So, we build here. We are heading west. We’re now on a smaller road heading west. Once outside the forest, the landscape unfortunately did not become any more interesting, which is maybe the reason why people parked their bikes for a long time. The return journey further was rather uneventful. Apart from this very polite Frenchman who waited patiently at the end of the bridge for us to completely clear it.
