Recently swapped to 1×10, for anyone interested in doing the same, I’m running a 36t stridsland narrow-wide chainring to an 11-48 cassette. it was super easy with my older shimano 8spd mtb freehub body to throw a 10spd cassette on, I hadn’t realized with an 8spd freehub it’ll accept a wider range without needing to modify the freehub – pretty neato I paired it with a GRX 12spd road derailleur. Since it’s for road bikes, the index distance requires a shorter pull so it pairs nicely with the suntour ratcheting thumby. Only two ratchets per gear change! Quick too!
