Yup, turns out you really can only use Phil cogs on Phil hubs. I know the gold medal cog is nice and all but trust me- you don’t want that headache and weeks of downtime. Finally got my hub back from service and the proper cog. Now I have to lace the entire wheel again..

Not true. All cogs have standardized threads. Lockrings are different. Mack, Phil, and campy use Italian threaded lockrings. What’s wrong with the gold medal cog?

Phil hub and Phil cog greased up is absolutely amazing it threads on so smoothly.
