We started off our journey in Sarlat-la-Caneda and then used it as our base to explore the rest of the Dordogne by car. As public transport in this department is not ideal, private transport would be your best and quickest bet for exploring!

this is one of the most picturesque places in France and it’s only 2 and 1/2 hours from BDU welcome to the dun known as the land of 1,1 castles and home to over 19 Villages cled as the most beautiful in France it’s no wonder the French love this part of France the Doon is Fame for having these clifftop Villages like L gek which look like something straight out of a fairy tale this part of France was also at the epicenter of the 100 Years War Between the French and the English this explains the countless magnificent castles you can find across this land for you to discover would recommend starting off in the medieval town of Sala Lanada a place that most well represents 14th century France then the best way to explore the region would be by car to visit places such as bayek Dom and The Gardens of makis just to name a few make sure to follow us for more unique spots like these in France
