The build and ride quality, made me fall on love with road bikes.

Hell yeah dude, I’ve had a few 80s era Univegas and they’re awesome bikes. Right now I’ve got an Alpina Team mountain bike and a Rover that is set up as a gravel bike with drops. A friend has a Gran Touring which he’s so set up as a gravel bike and loves.
Every college kids dream bike in early 1980s.
Absolutely sweet, I have a Univega viva sport form the same era, I always wonder which Univega road bikes form that era were higher end and which weren’t like the gran Turismo or other viva models. I’m guessing yours is high end?

Have a 1981 Univega Gran Premio….bought it when i gave up finding a holy grail bike. the Gran Premio is outstanding. Suntour Cyclone Let’s Go!!!!!
