Myself and my girlfriend are finishing our cycling tour through South East Asia this week. We started in Bangkok in September and made our way through Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, with Ho Chi Minh City being our last stop.
We bought new hybrid bicycles (the Riverside 500 9s Disc Brakes) from Decathlon in Bangkok when we arrived (together with some add-ons) and we don’t plan on bringing them with us on the flight home. We’re looking to sell the bikes in HCMC in the coming days instead.
I know Facebook marketplace is generally where things are bought and sold online in Vietnam, but I‘ve been locked out of my old FB account and I expect a new profile just for selling bicycles would scream ‘scam’ to most people.
I have included some pictures of the bicycles below. The photos usually show panniers as well, but the panniers will be coming home with us. Ideally if anyone is looking for bikes like these or knows someone who is, then direct messages are most appreciate. Otherwise, comments pointing to other common means of selling bicycles in HCMC are welcome too.
The bikes would suit both use cases – either as a city bike to get around HCMC, or for anyone planning to bikepack Vietnam or South East Asia.

Yeah, FB is the way in VN. You could try going to a shop but I really think setting up a new account and finding a Saigon cycling group is the way. In Hanoi, there are a few cycling groups, as well as general buy n sell pages.
You might not be allowed on r/Vietnam but that’s another option.
