Because of a wrong lockring on my new bike, the fork got damaged. LBS said it was no issue, but it looks to me as if the carbon is damaged. How bad is the damage? Is it safe to ride?

Would you trust randoms on the internet more than your LBS?? This should be the other way around. Your fork is fine and I find it wild that you did not notice the rubbing before going out for a ride.
