Hi all, after my last attempt at the giant escape 2 disc didn't pan out, I'm looking at this for my 16km commute (each way) and potential mini triathlon next year. Talked to the guy and potentially able to have it for 530 CAD. I'm looking for feedback whether this is a good bike for me or a good price

It is several years older than they state. Going by the components this [2017 Norco Indy 2](https://www.norco.com/bike-archives/2017/indie-2/) model looks close to right.
The [’23](https://www.norco.com/bikes/city/urban/indie/2023-indie-2/?) and [’22](https://www.norco.com/bike-archives/2022/2022-indie-2/) use Altus shifters and this bike uses Alvino. There is a small chance that pandemic weirdness and the resulting bike parts shortage resulted in this setup. However I think that is a bit unlikely as the ’17 is a good match on style, color, and parts. Plus the yellowing of the plastic in the shifters is something that takes several years to happen.
Get a clip or zip tie to retain the cable that is dangling near the tire.
I don’t think the price is too bad even considering the age, 530 CAD/375 USD. Might see if you can talk them down a bit more as they are not accurately representing the age of the bike.
