I bought this at the flea market and was wondering if I did okay. Been wanting to get more into long distance cycling. I paid 250 for this seemingly professional setup. Anything I can improve upon? You wont hurt my feelings if I messed up. Thanks for looking!

Why does it matter if you’ve already bought it?
Maybe get a new set of tires and a tune up and just go ride it.
If you like to tinker, get to it. Make sure it fits you comfortably.
Specialized Allez is an entry-level road bike. Any decent workable road bike that you purchased for under $300 isn’t a bad purchase. That said, you want to limit additional improvements to things that you can transfer to another bike. If you ride it, and you really enjoy long distance road cycling, your next move (which you don’t NEED to do) is to buy a newer, higher level bike.
It’s older but fine. All it really needs is a new rear tire (looks like an indoor training tire). Maybe new cables and housings but if it shifts good than it’s fine. 3x can be a pain to index. Ride it, use it, learn what you like and done like. When the time comes, pay a bit more attention to the components of the bike. 3x is old. 2×10 is a bit more common. 2×11 is current with higher end moving to 2×12 and hydraulic brakes. Tire width is getting wider 28-32c is common for most road bikes.
Advice: get out and ride and enjoy the bike (after a new rear tire)
