Moving to an area with LOTS of hard pack roads and trails. My old MTB isn't gonna be used as often, but I love how it fits.
Not into drop bars, and really liking the Marin DSX on paper. I'm perplexed by the sizing though.
Marin says I'm a Medium as I'm 5'8" with 30" inseam, but the numbers on the large look closer to my old MTB. I've included side by side numbers of my Trek and the M/L DSX.
Im looking for a moderately aggressive/somewhat upright position to log 10-50 miles per ride on non technical terrain.
Should I go with the L or M ?
Thank you!

If you liked the fit of your previous bike, I would go with the Large. My wife’s 5’5″ and sized up from a Small to Medium on the DSX to get her stack height right. I would also recommend replacing the stock bars pretty quickly, the shape of them is funky.
Just bought a used β22 dsx2. Itβs a size large. I am a 5β9 with a 31.5 inseam. Felt good minus I did have to cut the seat post a bit ( cut 2β off) to get a comfortable height. So I would say you would need to chop the seat post to get a comfortable height.
Edit: do agree with the funky angle bars after first few rides
i have one. L for you.
I’m 5’9″ and bought a Med. I wanted something better suited for my almost 5’7″ gf. I can ride it, but it Def feels snug.
