This was my major bikepacking event in 2025, the Hellenic Mountain Race route, which we did in July, with crazy hot weather and an unforgiving sun. We only did the first 550 km, as we had to stop due to some medical issues with one of the team members. We mostly camped with individual tents and got blessed with absolutely zero condensation. Greece has beautiful but difficult mountains, superb views, the most friendly people and super cheap excellent food and accommodations.
I guess the best time to do this route is the second half of May or the beginning of June.
In terms of budget, this cost us 500 € per person, transport from and to Romania included.
