I am not a professional cycler but I would like to one day complete an ironman.
Last year I got bored and biked 140 miles around the Oahu Island of Hawaii in a hybrid bike (which sucked).
I then upgraded to another bike for 100 dollars on facebook but it broke and it was 300 dollars to repair so I discarded it.
I still look around for bikes but under a certain price but this one caught my eye.

I’d pass on this one. Unless you are really wanting to deal with the nuances of a triple chain ring, I’d look for a double. You should be able to find a similar quality machine for the same price. Or… since you’re burning through cheap bikes, just save a little bit more and buy a decent road bike. If you can pull together $1k, you’ll be able to find a good number of much better performing bikes. Better wheels, better frame, much better brakes and drivetrain.
