I’ve been slowly eliminating my list of potential bikes and would like some input. I want to use this bike for long distance mixed (mostly road/dirt path) rides. I’d like a good frame for carry capacity, a good low gear range, and general reliability. I’ve got my list down to [Marin DSX](https://www.marinbikes.com/bikes/2024-dsx#specifications), [Kona Dew](https://www.konaworld.com/products/dew-1?variant=41030250233900&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqP2pBhDMARIsAJQ0CzrRKyk7s2paMhB4-h6zIGDZrk8qcTq0FIhwTLzUnMA6GStfWEflof0aAhzFEALw_wcB) (or Splice), or something from Salsa.

I’ve looked at the used market and found a new Kona Dew for $400. It has been up for 10 weeks so they’ll probably come down some. I really like the Kona Dew for the wider tires and really good 1st gear. My question is, is the Dew reliable enough for long distance and is there a better bang per buck I should consider? I’m torn if I should jump on the used Kona now or wait until Black Friday to get something else.

Thanks!
