  1. For context the spoke sheared at the rim. I can probably remove it but just wondering if there’s an off the shelf spoke that can be reinstalled on this hub.

  2. Yes you can. You will need the same length spoke, a spoke wrench and depending on which side the spoke was broken, a freewheel or cassette removal tool.

  3. Possibly. You need to know precisely what length of spoke you require. There are several online spoke length calculators but to use them you’ll need to know what model of rim and hub you’re working with.

  4. As long as you have the correct tools to do the job yes it’s not hard to replace a spoke. Assuming you have the correct tools all you need is to find the correct length spoke.

If you don’t have the correct tools and you go into a shop with it don’t be surprised if they say they can sell you a new wheel instead though. It’s really expensive for a shop to set up to repair wheels never mind how much it costs to buy a box of each kind and length spoke so sometimes its cheaper to sell a ready made wheel than to charge what they would need to cover their costs to set up to repair.
