I’ve had this bmx since I was a kid so a lot of parts need replaced or swapped to better fit me now and I’m not real familiar with bike parts looking to swap the crank and sprocket as the sprocket is really hard to pedal I believe it’s a 43/16 set up and my wheels have a axle bolt that’s a 19mm and I dont know what size axle that would be it’s also a freestyle bike also before someone asks why I have half a brake set up I’m waiting for my bottom line and u brake to get delivered

  1. You’re going to struggle reducing the gearing by reducing the sprocket size as it’ll drop the chain lower and will hit your u-brake. You might at best get away with a with a 39t, but tbh the ratio on the bike is actually considered a normal one, by lowering that ration you’ll be spinning the pedals and not going very far. Rear wheel axle is 14mm, the wheel nuts are 19mm. Crankset is a 19mm axle 3pc, running in a usa bb (a size not used now) so crank selection for replacement needs to take this into account.
