You ran the two adjuster screws all the way in….. that’s what you get.

First step is determining if the problem is the shifter or derailleur. Does the shifter pull and release cable? Does the derailleur move if the cable is pulled by hand?

im gonna have a slightly educated guess and say its your shifter….
or your limit screws on the derailleur are completely out of whack

Shift all the way down, if the cable is loose then loosen bolt, thread in any barrel adjusters you might have the tighten the cable

They are the stops. They only touch the der at the extremes. They have very little to do with how it shifts…
