Almost done with this project. Somehow, the 2x still works even though it's a 20t jump. Not super smooth but it will jump up. Waiting on wheels (going 11×2), the right seatpost and a saddle. Went all out on the pink/teal 80s color scheme.

Yep I remember these, 1987, they came with a ‘dogbone’ stem that looked alot like a Cook Bros and matched the fork color. But I can’t remember if it was still 21.1mm (.833) like the previous years. And the seatposts in the previous years were also 26.8mm.
You definitely put way better parts than what came stock on it. Find a pink saddle!
