I Do Not Like German Shepherds For This Reason!

this is why I hate German shepherd breeds now that was just a little bit of clickbait I don’t hate the breed I absolutely love them there’s not a breed on the planet that I do hate but it doesn’t mean that all breeds don’t have some things that are frustrating when it comes to the German Shepherd the traits about them that I’m not too keen on are two things first of all they are hyper vocal dogs they were bred to be God dogs which means they bark a lot and for me I quite like a quiet life so that doesn’t usually Vibe with me too well and is I usually choose more Mastiff type breeds for guarding purposes second is all of this fur if you like to have a clean and tidy house you are going to have to let go of that if you want to bring a German Shepherd into your house or you better get used to the Hoover

  1. Left the room for 5 minutes and she ate a hole through my mattress and chewed my mobile phone. My English Mastiff however is a total angel ❤

  2. I’ve had 4 over the last 46 years, not a one has been vocal unless something or someone was entering our area of residence ,each time my wife or myself could acknowledge that we were aware of what they were barking about they would sit quietly and monitor the situation. But for the hair you are not exaggerating at all!!! Vacuum and swiffer every other day and mop at least once a week! 😅

  3. I was working on a farm that housed donkeys and the other dogs that the owner has aren’t allowed near the donkey because the GSD lays in front of them. Special breed of dog that I will be owning one day for sure

  4. The bread is not the same example for one you should never ever take a shepherd to young from mother after the suckling Thay should be with mother and you as you tend to cats dogs chicken cows sheep horses goats from puppy hood but because people don't care about culture only looks you and the shepherd pay the ultimate price Thay are shepherd Thay to be by your side at all times from puppy hood growing up this way self control confidence and think for them self at 6 months old and then you can train them any direction so every thing that you think the shepherd has a problem is because they are pack dogs like huskies and wolf livestock guardians but that's has a lot to do with their beginning ❤ but mixing take out of natural environment a shepherd should never ever kill a cat baby goats sheep cow horses never if you put in a pin with baby goats sheep cow horses cat and wake up the next morning and all are breathing and shepherd's wagging tail it's true if not and will kill it is ether took from mother to young 99 of problem or to mixed I have done Belgium German Australian volkadov nagaz kangal and volkadov pack dogs are different and must learn pack rules from mother before re homing it must be with mother for 6 months on the move all day every day puppies use to the horses hooves use to being horn by goats learning to respect space know not to go to any dog food stops food aggressive everything thing you pay for mother teacher better know no to run in front of car truck tractor no leash no shock no fencing recall 🏆 the key is to live with them not training ❤

  5. Yes – the fur is plentiful. My past GSD was a registered Therapy Dog. My present GSD, wakes me up by licking my face……. He is very intelligent, has excellent problem solving skills, wants to play only and will run in an opposite direction if confronted by a pack of other dogs, doesn't bark at any of the neighbours and if someone walks by our house – we're on a corner – will stop barking if someone says hello to him. He won't however bark when someone comes to the door ! Guard dog ?? A joke. He still has a couple of issues but
I'm so grateful to have him !!!!!!! I just love him !!!

  6. I guess it’s a trade off, the minor inconvenience of some shedding and maybe periodic “talking” on one hand and on the other hand you don’t have to weather the the worst times alone. Given those two scenarios I’d much prefer to trip over tumbleweeds of dog hair and hear him at the window cussing out squirrels all day.

  7. Please make a detailed video on dog breeds that do not bark much and please cover their other characteristics in the same video so that us folks who like a quiet life can make an informed decision on which breed to get. Thanks!

  8. I've raised Huskies for 20 yrs n now have a long haired German Shepherd…. vocalness and hair are 100% welcome in my house…i also have a graveyard of vacuums in my garage that actually just gave up the ghost when trying to manage the hair 😂

  9. They only bark when needed i have one and he only barks when something is strange to him which he doesn’t understand and yes furr is an issue which you need handle with gsd

  10. the shepherds i have had were not to barky compared too the dogs they all did talk to me allot and yes the dog hair is allot , I miss having one but the place I live in is small and even though I could take my dog with me too work if i had one I am not sure if I could afford to have one alsao I only have a smaller car

  11. They're the best! I got my 1st as a puppy and the 2nd I rescued. Most loyal, trainable and protective dogs I've ever had and could ask for. You have to be willing/wanting to take the time to work with them and they will give you their all

  12. George has said woof 10 times in 7 years – I donate her fall off fur to a company that uses it for oil spill related cleanup.
I'm 62, this is the only GSD that I've ever handled.
It is so great to finally find a mute female that listens, attentive in every way. She is right by my side, no matter what. No complaining, just loyalty.

Many people mention the faults of this breed, but if you can meet the needs of this dog, you will know the treasure you can experience.
    Buck Up!
    (or get a chihuahua)

  13. I had a GSD that I had to bribe with treats to get her to bark or speak as our command for her to do so. She had to sample the treat first, and if it was acceptable, she was kinda bark. More like a doggy version of a mumble. You are right about her shedding, tho. She shed year-round, but every spring and fall she would shed mountains! It took me two whole days to get it all out. And she would have enough fur on the floor to make a new GSD. She has been gone for 22 years, and I miss her every day!

  14. I've had German Shepherds for 15 years.
I had a long-haired double-coated white GSD Charlie, who was the goodest boy ever. Fantastic childhood dog for my sons, whom we sadly lost aged 14 last year. His fur was EVERYWHERE. Which is why I didn't groom him myself, I took him to the groomers, who ended up covered as well as their salon. One groomer got 1 1/2 bin bags of hair off him. It was quite something. Still, I wish I still had him. 😥

  15. That's not my experience at all and I was raised with them. I'm 56 and my shepherd now is 11 years old. Im getting a gsd puppy soon so knuckles can do most of the teaching for me😅. I've never had one that barks a lot. And shedding, 2 cycles a year. Summer coat and winter coat. Other than that, they're a pretty dam clean dog.
