Did you know there are currently over 128 schemes in the UK where the government is providing funding for people looking to start businesses or have established businesses? Now, without selling you the dream of free money, what I’m going to do is provide some helpful links in the description and basically give you some tips, tricks, and helpful advice hopefully for you to access, you know, a grant. Now be aware some of the local authority grants i.e. East Heart may provide you a grant after you’ve paid for everything. So for example, you can go on their website or just Google anything and you’ll be signposted to somewhere where you can have a meeting at a business center. Now, nine times out of 10, a lot of local authorities don’t actually have any money unless you have a solid grant or they’ve got certain industries they have um for example, renewables energy. They might have uh funding for that, but they don’t have funding for recruitment agencies, for example, cuz they don’t deem it as an emerging sector. So, what they do is they call you in for a meeting anyway, waste your time, and then they say, “Oh, okay, let me know. Go to the bank if you need a loan. We have we can’t fund you, blah, blah, blah.” they’ll do a business plan, but they do that to tick you off as they’ve supported you and then they get funding from the government. So, it’s all like a a little you got to kind of know how to navigate it. But anyway, two sites I would recommend is your local one, the government website, but also I would recommend something like the King’s Trust, Prince Trust. Look on those websites. At the moment, I think they’ve closed it for some reason. Applications are currently paused. be. But be aware, a lot of them, this might even not be the one. A lot of them are for 18 to 30 year olds, which is really good if you are that age group. I’m sadly not. There are other helpful websites, a British Business Bank. There’s also the Federation for Small Businesses. This is more of a I’ll put it in the description anyway. This is more of like a you join it, you’re part of the community, blah blah blah. But they do have some sort of I think business grants and how to do it. But they mainly direct you to here. So if you can’t be bothered with all of that, have a little look at what they’re offering. We’ll go through it now. I haven’t really even had a look. So life science fund. Wow, that’s huge funding. Some of them are like if you put an EV charge point in your house, they’ll do it. If you have a property, they’ll give you a grant to put a charge point. And they’re funding businesses. And these are grants. So these are quite high. Let’s try and find something a bit realistic. Otherwise, my video is falling apart as we speak. Fellowship grant. Like some of them are planting flowers. These are a little complex if I’m honest. This is 80k public engagement spark award. funding for public life science facility council applications organizations. No idea. No idea. You that one wanted an accountant to help. God knows what what they looking to have. So cyber locals UK registered organizations can share update at 1.8 in cyber security security skills. So I guess we’re cyber security guys now. And oh you got to sign in. But usually they’ll tell you how to apply and then you can they’ll give you a PDF or something. Your answer can be 400 words, 400 words, 400 words. Here’s a hint. Use chat GPT. Use chat GPT. They will never know. And then you can speed through the grants. Now you must have a legitimate business. You can’t be doing it like or off the cuff. But go through it, find out more. AAS is organizing something. You can follow the trail. But you get the idea. If anyone’s watching this video still, links are in the description.

  2. Thank you for sharing. Just a heads up, as someone who's been successful for government grant, there is allot of accountability. Allot of admin, follow up and monitoring.

  4. Hello and thank you for the video. Have you got an email I can contact you on in regards to this? I am currently living in the UK and struggling with living costs, and I would be super grateful for some help. Even making £200 a week would help, like you would not believe. I also would be willing to do some admin/promotion for your page. Thank you.

  5. Interesting point about sector focus — I’ve noticed funding often favours areas like renewables or tech, while service-based businesses usually have fewer options.
