Thought I’d post a quick update since it’s been over 2 weeks now since my dilemma started.
As per previous post: I’d ordered the new 2025 electric P line in Pacific Lacquer, delivery arrived in 2 days but it was the older electric P line in Bolt Blue colour.
So Brompton arranged for UPS to collect it and would arranged for the replacement (ie the correct bike) to be sent.
It’s been over 2 weeks and I’ve chased them twice due to lack of updates.
First time was a few days after they had received the return and had not update me on when the replacement would be sent. They said they’d just created a new order for me and sent me a link to it saying it would be processed within 2-3 days. Even though the link took me nowhere I thought I’d give them benefit of doubt and just sit back and wait.
Over a week passed and I had no update so I chased them again yesterday. This time they said there were problems with the website and it had showed the bike as available when it actually wasn’t. So I shouldn’t have been able to order it back then. So now the bike still isn’t available until next week. As soon as it’s available they will let me know and will ship it to me.
So it looks like almost a month after ordering the bike, I might get it eventually.
I find this quite disappointing tbh. I know they’re a relatively small company compared to some other major manufacturers but they’re still a prominent brand with a very large global customer base. I expected a bit better service

I would expect them to offer some kind of discount or something for your troubles
Here’s what was in the last email I got this morning:
“I hope you are doing well.
I’ve looked into your order xxxxx, and the dispatch team has confirmed that your bike will be ready for shipment in week 47 (November 17-23).
These models require a rebuild at the moment, and at the time your order was placed, they were not immediately available on the website. The website had not yet been updated, so the dispatch estimate still showed 2-3 working days.
I understand this isn’t ideal, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience this may cause – l
appreciate that you were hoping to receive your bike sooner. Please rest assured we’re doing everything we can to get it to you as quickly as possible.”
One thing that stood out to me and is a bit worrying is the mention of a “rebuild” ….. like wth do you mean, Brompton??
