Hi, i am a distance runner and for cross training purposes i bought i second hand bicycle to use on my kickr. the bike is definitely banged up but my problem is when i shifted to the smallest cog in order to place it on the trainer it got stuck. I mean it can’t shift down (to the bigger cog). i don’t know much about cycling… so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
What i have done so far.1. adjusted the chain tension. 2. placed the back wheel on again (it is still stuck).3 Both the kickr and my bicycle has a 10 speed casette.
derailer type: sram rival
everything else is working fine.
i don know if its a spacing issue-i have no idea how to fix this though? or is it something simple i am missing .
thanks in advance 🙂

Hard to be sure, but it looks like your derailleur hanger is bent. Follow the steps in this [video from Park Tool](https://youtu.be/UkZxPIZ1ngY?si=pXlJPVhGvyvkCCkm) to adjust the rear derailleur first. If shifting is still bad then take it to a bike shop for an expert opinion.
For starters, that cable looks absolutely destroyed
It sounds like you need more tension on the cable but it’s in bad shape and should be replaced
Hanger possibly bent, cable needs to be replaced, check chain wear and cogs too.
