I have some rust on my wheel and derailleur. I've heard anything from wd-40 + foil, to wire brush. What method do you find the most success with removing rust?

A wire brush is okay for rougher things, but I would stick to sandpaper for bike parts.

#0000 steel wool and WD40, then never dull
For chromed parts, I swear by water and aluminum foil. The aluminum won’t scratch the chrome, and the water keeps the dust down.
