Built up this sweeeeeet rockhopper for my winter bike the other night.
Found it in stuck-seatpost-neglect condition, and have been spraying it weekly with wd-40 for the last 6 months or so; trying to free it in a vice every now and then.
The seat post finally let go after many efforts, I was so happy to build it up and give it a second chance at life, even if it’s a little chilly 🙂 Full of patina and rides like a dream ❄️ I’ve got it set up as a dingle-speed and just have the rear derailleur set in place using the limit screws and am just shifting with the front.
The inaugural ride was quite the test (see pic 2) lol happy riding y’all 🙂
