Just looking to add another cardio option to my fitness journey. Was lurking in r/cycling where pretty much everyone strongly advised against buying an Ozone at Academy. I followed there advice and started searching marketplace, and with the help of chat GPT, found a specialized sequoia comp road bike. Picked it up, with a trainer, and 2 tubes for $320. Looked it over and everything seems to be in decent condition, no cracks in the frame, shifts smoothly, appears well taken care of. Was this a decent deal? I'm not looking to race or do any events, just want to ride local paved loops, maybe ride around neighborhoods with my wife and kids. Are these reliable, with parts readily available? How do I know what year it is? I've been trying to find manual online, but I've only ever rode big box brand bikes before so a lot of this is new to me.

This is a fine road bike. Sequoia is one of the oldest models in the Specialized line up. This looks like an endurance road bike. It’s also been a steel bike packing bike and, I think, a tire. This will serve you well until you decide you need a modern bike with modern standards and capacities or you quit cycling.
