Didn't find any review about them in the snow/ice so here it is :
Kenda K-RAD are super grippy!
Perfect all around tires for this kind of bike.
Gear ratio : 36t chainring and Surly 21t cog. 38t will be better for commute.
*I'll add full cover mudguard soon. What's the best cheap option for 26×1.95? (Velo Orange are perfect, but too expensive right now).

Well, idk if I’d recommend full cover mudguard. My latest experience (cf my last post) had shown me that when the snow really packs up in them, you’ll really have to fight against it
I was so close to buying SKS Bluemels for the winter bike I’m currently building but I’m now looking for seat tube and down tube mounted mudguards like yours.
Again, for the snow. For the rain I love my full cover although I do need a lil mud flap at the back of my front fender.
Taking notes on the K-Rads… I was already looking at them since they’re not expensive
