Pretty sure everyone that had one of these remembers the plastic press lock buttons. This is the first step in restoring my original levers and making them fully functional again. Luckily for me there tabs are still in place that allows them to lock unlike most levers out there from this era.

LOL. The first thing I did when I got new brake levers was cut the locking buttons off.
