Sand cast a ring with me!
I want to duplicate this signet ring so I can make more without the lengthy process of making it from scratch.
Sand casting is a perfect technique for this 🙌🏼

When I first tried this technique a few years ago I skipped the air holes- Big mistake!!!

It’s so satisfying to open the mould, keeping everything crossed that it completely filled with silver 🤞🤞🤞

I love the raw texture when it first comes out of the sand too, so fun and makes you want to sand cast EVERYTHING 😆🙌🏼⏳

  1. Thanks for the video, i am attempting this at the moment & cannot get the metal to go to the pouring stage, i can get the silver to melt etc. I have quite a big torch so not sure what I'm doing wrong 😢

  2. The ring turned out to be really nice! I keep struggling with making the rings relatively thin, the poured silver makes it fully around only with the very chunky rings. Do you have maybe some tips where could be an issue? 🙂

  3. she makes it look so easy. I tried this many times. I finally bought graphite molds. Even then I needed a 3rd hand to keep the mold hot. Silver rocks back up crazy fast. She has skills and more patience than I do. 🙂
