hello everybody Welcome to nauma bike touring a new channel or a channel I’m sort of changing for bike touring in Nottinghamshire I’m out on the edge of Shard Pines on National cycle Network 7 I’ll include information in the description to National cycle Network Su strands showed Pines the there is camping in here which is £6 maybe £650 per night for cycle tourists last time I was I was here but I’d like to tell you a bit about what the Channel’s going to be it’s going to be about bike touring and places of interest for people on bicycles to visit and uh and have a look at so i’ got some motorbikes in the forest with got motorbikes in the forest these days yeah so notam Shire and bike touring Oodles of stuff to see in Nottinghamshire Oodles of places to go good places to camp youth hostel um easy easy bike riding few Hills some gravel tracks but in the main it’s good hard compacted surface uh I’m based in Mansfield which is toward towards the Northern end of the county so she’ll be producing a series of videos about naire about cycle Roots through Nottinghamshire and then C Roots within Nottinghamshire and what there is to see that’s in essence what the channel is about it’s my little way of trying to put Nottingham shirt on the tourist map as it were because we have uh National byway we have five pits Trail tsaur Trails we have National cycle Network which is overseen by S strands we have other local cycle networks and places where you can go to ride and there’s no nowhere where things are connected together even on electric mapping electronic mapping bike bike Roots aren’t aren’t always shown um particularly after the sust Strand call of 2020 so I’m just trying to do my little bit to shout out for Nottingham Shire to show Nottinghamshire as a destination as a nice place as a nice place to visit we’ve got lovely towns in Nottingham sh campsites like I said there are hotels I’m not so much going to do hotels I shall probably I’ll do cycle cafes and places to stop for rest on your journey through on cycle routes and then I’ll do historic places historic sites um I will do it all by bicycle I will I I believe you can Tour on anything I’ve toured on electric bike I’ve toured on a Touring bike I’ve toured on a bromton an electric bromton you can Tour on any bike I was in Norfolk last year and there were some Lads there they were going on the Rebellion way on BMXs and Tents with tents you can Tour on any bike it’s not a discipline must have this must have that if you got a bike and if you’re traveling and staying somewhere and traveling again you are bike touring to a degree even day rides are bike touring so that’s essentially what the Channel’s going to be about um please I’m going to ask you to like And subscribe because I would like to reach out to as many people as possible and I’d like to thank you for watching I’d like to thank you for hitting the Subscribe button right now cuz it’s absolutely free and uh just to show you I’m here in shood Pines right on the edge of shood Pines beautiful beautiful place to be fantastic cycling and from this point we’ve been here before actually on my other channel on not sh Madness from this point we can get to harby and Beyond probably as far as Market Harbor and Beyond you can get to York and Beyond you can get into the darbishire Pete District you can get into Lincolnshire the Lincolnshire WS Lincoln even out to East Anglia and norick on safe cycle routes many of many of the miles are on good cycle routes and safe roads obviously in this day and age there will be roads that are fairly busy I will try to highlight those as I make videos on the roots as I go but at the moment I’m just out on this this is my little introduction video to the channel what I’m going to do what I want it to be about want an ebike today thank you for watching and please look out for more videos

  1. Some really good paths although route 6 sort of vanishes around Blidworth and we got lost on hilly roads trying to find sherwood pines. When you're carrying your camping gear and sign posts vanish!
    My favourite path is the route to Derby from nottingham.
