  1. If you could get a dropout mod kit that allows you to finally put a rear derail on it besides making maintenance easier.

  2. Hydraulic discs, different seat maybe unless you like that one, and is that a bash guard around the front chainring? If so I’d remove that and the front wheel reflector.

When you said what should you do with it is that what you meant?

This thing is screaming for a half frame bag to go in that top section.

    Gorgeous frame!!

Buy a smaller chainring for up front and/or a larger sprocket/cassette for the rear, and the hills will not be a problem.

  5. Hydraulic disc brakes, lock on grips and nicer pedals in a matching color, grippier tires slightly wider if they’ll fit, maybe some onboard storage – a frame or handlebar bag?

What a strange question, bruh. If you like it, then you should treat this beaty like a real treasure and ride the hell out of it. Even the most expensive bike is still a bike, so use it on intended purpose.

I bought mine when it was first introduced by Kona. I’ve since mothballed it. The only thing I don’t like is the 126 OLN rear triangle axle spacing

Finish the fish species’ name in a decal. But on your chub so nobody can read it unless you’re hard. Then you’ve got a kickstand.

I have a 26” deluxe, Nitto bullmoose bars look great, and fit that old school vibe. Looks like you’re running a short stem, so that might not work for you. Kona has another model that is geared with sliding dropouts, so you can swap and hang a rear derailleur. No cable stops, which is an issue, or go wireless! I swapped out for a basic suspension fork on the front. Mine is set up SS, and such a blast to ride. Build it up, ride it!
